Ingredients in Strivectin

If you are considering adding Strivectin wrinkle cream to your anti aging skin care regimen, you might be interested to know what’s in the product. Some ingredients might be irritants to your skin, or you might be interested in knowing if any of the “latest and greatest” ingredients are found in the cream.

First, it’s helpful to know the order of ingredients and to know if one particular ingredient is near the top of the list. That’s water and it does top the list of ingredients in Strivectin SD. On any ingredient list, ingredients will be listed in order – that is, the ingredient that’s found in highest concentration will be listed first, and so on.

In fact, this is a helpful thing to know because many products will hype a particular ingredient like retinol or glycolic acid, but when you read the ingredient list, you’ll realize that the hyped ingredient is at the end of the list, which means it’s not found in a very high concentration.

Strivection lists deionized water first. Following that are some key moisturizing ingredients like sesame oil and sweet almond oil. Following those is an ingredient that’s listed like this: “Striadril complex (consisting of Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3).”

This is another way of listing the ingredient Matrixyl, which is a fatty acid that’s mixed with amino acids and is considered a solid product for increasing the collagen in skin and actually increasing the production of collagen, which is a naturally occurring compound found in the body that keeps skin firm and tight looking. As we age, the product of collagen slows, so finding a product to replace the collagen is useful when trying to achieve more youthful-looking skin.

Other key ingredients in Strivectin SD cream include glycerin, peppermint oil and the all important Retinyl Palmitate, which is an antioxidant.

Retinyl Palmitate is another name for the Vitamin A derivative retinol, which is said to reverse the signs of aging and help your skin fend off further damage. Finding this ingredient in Strivectin gives credence to the claim that Strivectin-SD provides some immediate improvement to the skin with the Matrixyl and long-term support through the addition of the retinol.

Some, if not most of, the ingredients found on the container of any lotion or skin care product can be confusing. You might not understand why a product contains a certain ingredient, or what that ingredient can do for your skin. It’s important to understand various ingredients and do your best to pay attention to which are in your product and which are missing.

Once you understand ingredients (for example, the part that retinol plays in your skin’s health, or how matrixyl might be beneficial), you can seek out products that contain those ingredients. Strivectin has many of these ideal ingredients, leading users to argue that it’s a complete system for the skin.
